pronounced; "ah-gah-pay"
is a Greek word that refers to the act of selflessness.
I first came across this word in one of my favorite artists Lupe Fiasco's song "Quotations from Chairman Fred (feat. Nikki Jean & Bishop Edgar Jackson)" from his album "DROGAS WAVE" which was released in 2018, a very painful & breathtakingly pivotal year for me. I felt so lost, I felt so deeply in agony I just wanted to scream at the top of my lungs, I felt so completely misunderstood & lonely. Then here comes Lupe with this album that just spoke to my soul and I mean spoke to abyss of my being. I played this album for months on months as I locked myself in my studio and just created. Bare with me I know I got faintly off track but the song is POWERFUL.. whole entire album actually, it's truly underrated.
Bishop Edgar Jackson's speech is where AGAPE was spoken on vaguely & upon my research I discovered it refers to the highest form of love... which is something I felt greatly resonated with me, its characterized by; unconditional acceptance, having a spiritually deep connection with God, but is also associated with divine love, as it said to transcend all the limitations of human emotions and motivations.
Agape love is not based on our feelings & or personal gain but rather on a deep commitment to the well-being and growth of others. It's the epitome of walking with Jesus & no I'm not religious but the spirit of Jesus is one I very much believe in because it is one I have unconsciously imitated many times throughout my life. This type of love is often attributed to God & the love God has for all of humanity. Pragmatically AGAPE LOVE manifest's as compassion, patience, all inclusivity, empathy, willingness, tenacity, endurance, forgiveness, & understanding. This is a love that comes with no expectations and is given freely, a love that is so freeing it inspires you to reach for sky and beyond that because with this love you feel limitless, you feel powerful, youthful, grateful, blessed, jovial, and purposeful.It's so important that we collectively adopt and habituate the attributes of AGAPE LOVE. With this we become a powerful force for personal, spiritual, and physical growth. it creates a healthy, creative, compassionate, empathically harmonious relationship amongst ourself, random individuals & most importantly the community. OUR COMMUNITY. So together we can all flourish with love & acceptance. Together we will discover what is truly heaven.With a love as amazing as this one I truly hope that you never choose to settle for anything less than the love God made so specially and uniquely for you. I truly hope that you heal any wounds, traumas and pains that hold you back from recognizing the endless love God has for you. God is waiting for you to see how beautiful life can truly be, how beautiful life truly is with AGAPE LOVE. 
Bless you, never give up on yourself because even at your lowest most darkest moments God has not forsaken you.
